What is RoRo?
RoRo stands for "Roll-on/Roll-off." Your vehicle is driven directly onto a specialised ship under its own power, secured in place on deck or below deck, and driven off again at the destination port. There's no packing or container loading involved, which makes it the fastest and most affordable shipping method for roadworthy vehicles. The trade-off is less protection from sea air and weather, and RoRo isn't available for electric vehicles or non-running vehicles.
What is Container Shipping?
Your vehicle is loaded into a sealed steel shipping container, either on its own or sharing space with another vehicle, and travels fully enclosed for the entire voyage. This protects it from salt air, weather, and port handling, and lets you ship spare parts or personal items alongside it. Container is required for electric vehicles and non-running vehicles, and is generally the better choice for high-value or classic cars — at a higher price than RoRo.

What documents do I need to export my vehicle?
Typically: the vehicle's V5C logbook (original), valid photo ID, proof of ownership, and payment confirmation. For international shipments we handle the Bill of Lading, export declaration, and Certificate of Origin — it's all included.
What happens if my vehicle is damaged in transit?
All shipments include specialist marine transit insurance. We complete a full photographic condition report at collection and delivery. If damage occurs, we manage the insurance claim on your behalf.
How long does shipping take?
UK to West Africa: 3–4 weeks. UK to Dubai: 25–32 days. UK to USA: 3–5 weeks. Australia: 4–6 weeks. UK domestic: 1–5 days. Times vary by destination and shipping method.
Will I pay import duty at my destination?
Import duties vary by country and are payable by the recipient at destination — they're separate from our shipping fee. We'll advise you on expected duties for your specific destination before you book.
Can you ship non-running or damaged vehicles?
Yes — we can ship non-runners by container with winching at loading. For RoRo shipments the vehicle needs to be able to roll onto the vessel, so container shipping is required for fully inoperable vehicles.
